Last week I was in Pittsburg attending my professional conference for organizers hosted by our National Association of Professional Organizers. Not only was the city very friendly, but it was beautiful! I took advantage of some downtime to talk and walk with my roomie and we discovered many old and visually interesting buildings, amazing art and fantastic bridges that were easy to cross by foot. What an interesting city!
One of the sessions I attended at my conference was titled, 9 Technology Tools, where I learned about a couple tools that I wanted to share with you.
The fist was a tool to help create beautiful social media posts quickly and easily, which if you have tried this on your own, you know it isn’t always the case that making a post will be quick or easy. The site is called Canva and it has tons of beautiful templates that allow you to quickly change the fonts, colors, and images with a click of a button. You can also upload your own images. The neatest part about this tool is that by simply clicking which social media platform you will be posting to, it adjusts the image automatically so it looks spectacular and you don’t have to figure out through trial and error whether the image will look good or not. And with a click of another button, you can change your post for one social media platform to another and the entire thing adjusts quickly and perfectly so you only need to create one post for everything. What a time saver, and stress saver for those who are less techie. I can’t wait to jump in and start using it so I can learn even more about this tool.
The other great tool was a CRM(Customer Relationship Manager). If you own, manage or are in business then you know that to be successful it is imperative that you maintain relationships with your clients and any partners that are integral to maintaining the business such as suppliers or affiliate partners. This tool is called Insightly. They have various payment levels but the free version is robust and allows up to 2 users. Features include mass email, task management and project management, custom emails, relationship tracking, custom forms, lead management, custom reports and accounting integrations. More services are added in the basic plan for only $12 a month and on up in price depending on how many people in the company will use it and the more bells and whistles it comes with.
